We are offering a free, interactive training day to help people looking for jobs in the public sector including health.
It will be held on Monday 13 March 2017, 10am - 4pm at New Mill, Victoria Road in Bradford BD18 3LD.
The session will offer job seeking skills including completing applications. It is aimed at those who may be disadvantaged who live in the Bradford district. These could be people with disabilities, black and minority ethnic communities or who live in areas of deprivation.
Enable2 is a social enterprise which means it puts back resources into the local community. We regularly work with disadvantaged communities and one of our initiatives is to offer job application training through our Enable2 Work programme. The course is a one day interactive programme.
The Enable2Work Programme will help participants:
- Make the most of their journey through the recruitment and selection process
- Improve their prospects of employment
- Express why an employer should choose them.
It will also provide:
- An insight into the recruitment and selection process from the employer’s perspective
- Helpful hints on how to make their application form stand out from the crowd
- Tools and techniques to help prepare and make the most of an interview
- Information on the ‘things to avoid’.
To book a place – please email: bookings@enable2.com or tel: 0333 220 1717
Below are some of the comments made by previous participants:
“The whole experience was very positive. I am very optimistic about the future..... I have not got a job yet but I am being shortlisted more and have had three interviews since the training. For one of them I was one of eight people shortlisted from 125 applicants and got through to the 2nd of a three stage interview process”.
“After ten years of trying I was almost ready for packing it in. I am astonished that I eventually got a job in the NHS. The best thing about the training was the encouragement you gave me to continue trying even after so many knockbacks”.
“After the training more of my applications resulted in interviews than before. I now look at the criteria and ensure I can provide evidence that I can meet it before applying for jobs.”
